Michel-André Bellemare, always animated by the taste to progress in the trade, works much and his last works are particularly revealing of his research on the level of the colors, the forms and a very personal way, to treat the topic of the landscape. His works reflects a style which assert.«…My goal, it is above all to interpret nature not as I see it, but rather like I feel it. For that, I develop the color by accentuating the line, in order to intensify the expression in his intrinsic value, acknowledges the artist ».

For a long time, nature is his principal source of inspiration but « …the subject becomes pretext with the color », according to the artist. Impressive colours, intense colors sometimes even ‘électrisantes’ balance because it is the harmony of the colors which create the impression, the feeling, the emotion which emerges from his paintings. The light plays a very important part in his picture because it is of it  that emerge the mystery, the unvoiced comment, the questioning in front of an astonishing sky, an undergrowth inviting us to penetrate there or quite simply a mellow snow  which will give us desire for lying down there. The composition of the drawing  takes also a very interesting form, his principal subject is often with the background, his horizon is in order to give the chance to the spectators to travel in the painting.

This intensity, this passion for painting like his love of nature and the respect of this one make him conscious that painting is  communication, that it must be a revelation. For him, it is art to transmit in image  the beautiful one which surrounds us  and which too often one cannot see and appreciate. He can recompose with all possible poetry the areas of our formidable nature.

His paintings have been part of numerous solo and group exhibitions since 1970 and won awards, including “ Peinture en liberté “ , professional category sponsored by Alcan in 1987.

He was elected as a Signature Member of Institut des Arts Figuratifs in 2001. Nature is a main inspiration for him but he likes to add his own expressive interpretation. Many collectors from different countries appreciate his vibrant color harmonies and composition orchestrations, and the way he works with light and texture is outstanding. His works are available in art galleries and are part of several collections in Canada, USA, Europe and Asia.
